How do you do, fellow kids?
The old saying that you can’t dress mutton up as lamb is perhaps a little politically incorrect these days. Many would argue that there is no age limit to fashion and people should just wear what they’re comfortable with. Although in this instance, we’re not sure Brian Kidd is all that comfortable.
On their way to Catalonia for their Champions League tie with Barcelona, Pep Guardiola and Manchester City’s co-assistant coach were pictured side by side whilst trawling around their match-day luggage. What many found particularly amusing was that they were identically dressed.
At first sight it seems beyond cringeworthy. A 67-year-old man doing everything he can to seem relevant and match his far younger, cooler boss – bright white trainers and all. Except the thing is, all of City’s travelling party were donning the ‘smart bouncer’ outfit, and Kiddo was simply following suit.
That didn’t stop the internet take the right royal piss out of poor Brian…

As cruel as shipping Joe Hart out without a second glance was, making Brian Kidd dress like this is the worst thing Pep's done at City pic.twitter.com/NGZazfWZ3g

Big fan of Brian Kidd, flat out refusing to dress up as an extra from High School Musical. pic.twitter.com/wXRPfpRMyu
