Pogba was also booed by some United fans at full-time.
Paul Pogba required treatment after Harry Maguire accidentally kicked him in the head during Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick for the Red Devils as they moved up to fifth in the Premier League. However, the mood at Old Trafford was far from positive.
Prior to kick-off, several United supporters took part in a protest against the club’s owners – the Glazer family – amid a poor run of form and results.
Pogba caught with a stray right boot from Maguire.
Although the home side secured all three points, thanks to Ronaldo’s 76th-minute free-kick after Norwich had equalised, the atmosphere was somewhat sour throughout the tie.
During the second half, United captain Maguire accidentally caught Pogba with a stray right boot as the pair both went up for a header.
As the home side delivered a corner into the box, the England defender rose to try and meet it, only to fall over a Norwich defender and clip the back of Pogba’s head on the way to the ground.
Pogba could be seen wincing in pain as he assessed the damage before a physio came to check him over, with Ronaldo – who got on the end of the corner – attempting to calm down the French midfielder.

Difficult afternoon for Pogba
It was a challenging afternoon for the former Juventus man, who was booed by a section of United fans when he was substituted off shortly after the incident with Maguire. As he exited the field, some supporters could even be heard chanting “f*** off” at the World Cup winner.
However, interim boss Rangnick was quick to defend Pogba, warning fans over “targeting players individually”.
He said: “I didn’t hear but I was told after the game.
“I can totally understand the fans being frustrated but I don’t think they should be targeting players individually. This is not right or fair.”
It remains unclear whether or not the 29-year-old will remain at Old Trafford next season, but it is expected that the midfielder will move on when his contract expires in the summer.
Pogba has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and registering nine assists.
