Make no mistake about it, Arsenal fans – things are looking up.
No, seriously.
Sure, your team lost at Bournemouth on Sunday, are eight points adrift of the top four *and* face the very real possibility of losing their best two players in the near future, but hey, it’s not all bad at all. Honest.
For starters, Liverpool’s 4-3 victory over Manchester City later in the afternoon means you can bang on about that Invincibles team you had 14 years ago for at least another 16 months or so. Not only that, there’s good reason to believe that when Alexis Sanchez does finally seal his departure to Manchester, you’ve already lined up his replacement.
Step forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Borussia Dortmund striker, one of the most prolific in world football in recent years, is in hot water with the German club and was disciplined over the weekend. It’s not exactly sure what this was for but, in an intriguing turn of events, it’s now being reported by some – including Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph – that he could be leaving Dortmund within the next 24 hours.
Hearing Aubmayeng expects to join a new club in the next 24 hours. Arsenal…?

With Arsene Wenger claiming last week that he hoped to replace Sanchez with another player, it’s no surprise to learn that plenty are jumping to conclusions. The Gunners have also been heavily linked with Bordeaux winger Malcom, with the Brazilian’s agent reportedly in London to meet Arsenal officials over the weekend.
Imminent deals: Alexis Sanchez to Man United. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal. In the next few days.
