This is either incredible foresight, or they know something we don’t.
Brazilian online store, Ali Express, seem so confident Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale will be playing for Chelsea next season, they’re selling the team’s new jersey with his name and number 9 on the back.
The jersey, which has yet to be officially revealed, is available for between €15 to €17, with free shipping to Ireland from China Post Registered Air Mail, (which all sounds perfectly legitimate).
The site also have pictures of the new Chelsea strip itself, but the manufacturers logo is noticeably absent.
Speculation linking Bale with a return to the Premier League has been rife for months. The Welshman has had a tough second season with Madrid, with a section of home fans booing him, a rumoured fractured relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo and has had his car attacked by disgruntled fans.
If it turns out that you buy the new Chelsea shirt, with Bale’s name and number on the back, and he doesn’t end up at Stamford Bridge, at least you didn’t buy this jersey.
