Got a difficult hardcore football fan to please this Christmas? Then we’ve solved your dilemma for you
When it comes to buying a gift for the hardcore football fan it can be hard. Really unusual stuff, like the beach ball that interrupted Sunderland v Liverpool a few years ago, will cost a fortune and a Dortmund kit is, well, too common these days.
But this baby ticks all the boxes. For a start, it belongs to St Pauli, the left-leaning Bundesliga 2 team that is beloved by all obscure football fans. Secondly, it is made by Hummel, makers of the iconic Denmark shirt of the late ’80s that no serious hipster can live without.
Thirdly, it is a special edition, Christmas kit of which only 1,910 will be made, commemorating the year St Pauli was founded.
The shirt is pretty slick anyway but add in all those added layers of coolness and we can’t imagine anyone not wanting this under their tree on Christmas morning.
The kit, known as Weihnachtstrikot in German, will make its debut on Sunday against SV Darmstadt 98 and you buy it here from Hummel at €99.95
