Hennes might just be the most diplomatic goat in Germany.
After scoring FC Koln’s fourth goal against Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend, Anthony Ujah got his idioms mixed up and grabbed a goat that was sitting on the sideline by the horns.
In Ujah’s defence, he apologised to Hennes, who is FC Koln’s mascot, on Twitter after the game. However, he has since deleted the tweet for no apparent reason. Perhaps, he felt a mere 140 character message wasn’t enough of an apology to the club legend.
Well, today Ujah went that extra mile to make amends with the goat by going its birthday party. The Nigerian international brought Hennes a gift of carrots and presented him with a Koln jersey bearing his name on the back as an olive branch.
When asked for comment, Hennes bleated, defecated ate some grass before defecating a second time.
