There were some seriously romantic scenes at Villa Park on Sunday.
The love was palpable among Reds fans as they witnessed their beloved club absolute thrash Aston Villa 6-0, in a match that was enough to convince Jamie Carragher that Villa were the worst Premier League team ever.
By far the standout moment of the match, the one that best captured the spirit of Valentine’s Day happened directly after Divock Origi scored the game’s fourth goal, shortly after coming on as a substitute.
A joyous Origi darted over to the crowd to celebrate with the away fans and leaped into the stands. Then an opportunistic fan grabbed hold of him and successfully lobbed the gob on the Liverpool striker. The resulting photos are nothing short of spectacular when viewed in sequence.
