Football fans get their fair share of stick but they have once again shown what a force for good they can be
The horrifying images of refugees arriving on Europe’s southern shores have shocked and appalled over the last number of weeks, with their treatment on arrival becoming one of the continent’s major issues.
With political figures continuing to squabble over the correct approach to dealing with the surge in migrants from north Africa and the Middle East, football fans in Germany have united to send the message that refugees are welcome in their country.
Well done lads.
