Watching Manchester United play these days is a struggle.
The ball goes backwards and sideways, backwards and sideways and backwards and sideways. United used to break at lightning speed and very few teams on the counter-attack were as exciting to watch.
‘Attack, Attack, Attack’, Old Trafford cried yesterday in the game against Sunderland.
But, nowadays it’s backwards they go at pace. The team had a corner in the first half and ended up back at David de Gea within a few passes.
United did win 2-0, but that wasn’t enough to appease all fans.
Particularly not this poor guy.
This picture is from after Wayne Rooney’s second goal, and the United fan circled just looks completely fed up. He doesn’t crack a smile or applaud the goal, just continues to gaze into the middle distance.
He looks downright sick of watching the team play, like he’s asking himself ‘what the hell am I doing paying to watch this drivel?’
Not even the United captain breaking his goal drought can brighten this United fan’s day.
He probably sums up exactly what it’s like to watch the team play at the moment.
