Is any sporting event in the world an Irish fan in a GAA jersey cannot infiltrate?
In distant millennia, when the World Cup expands into the Universe Cup, where the Milky Way’s finest compete for galactic supremacy, and Ireland have dropped to 4 billionth in the FIFA rankings, you’ll undoubtedly see an Irish fan in a GAA jersey at the final between Jupiter and Mars. Sepp Blatter will probably be there too.
We’ve seen Irish fans in GAA jersey’s at events such as the Masters, World Cup games, the Super Bowl and now at women’s soccer in the United States.
FIFA Puskas award runner-up Stephanie Roche lined out for her new side Houston Dash last night, and there was a lad in a Longford jersey there to cheer the Dubliner on as her side won 2-0.
He also took time to drop into Lidl to get a few cans beforehand.
Dash fans are the best fans. Thanks for coming out tonight! Perfect start to the season. #DashOn pic.twitter.com/BZuIBAHIKx
