They’re doing things the right way at St James Park.

After former Newcastle goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek passed away over Christmas, the club decided to honour his legacy in wonderful fashion.

With a memorial service for Srnicek due to take place on Wednesday in the city, Newcastle took the opportunity to invite Srnicek’s brother Milan and a group of his friends to watch tonight’s Premier League game with Manchester United in an executive box at the stadium.

The Magpies also made sure to have their former stopper, who made 150 appearances for the club in his first spell at St James Park, feature on the cover of their official match programme for the game.

The legendary Czech Republic goalkeeper is pictured prominently on the cover and it’s the least that he deserves after all that he did for Newcastle.
