PIC: Mario Balotelli’s farewell letter to Steven Gerrard does not look like it was written by a grown man

Writing and shooting aren't his strong suits

We don’t think that Steven Gerrard would have been too concerned with what Mario Balotelli had to say by way of goodbye.

But that didn’t stop the Italian penning a letter to his captain to wish him luck in his next endeavour via a letter.

Rather than just hand the note to Gerrard in the privacy of the changing room which most of his teammates will probably do, Balo decided to share his thoughts with the world.

He’s since deleted it from his Instagram page but not before we could get a screen grab of it.

We’re going to give him a pass on some of the spellings and grammar because English isn’t his first language and we’re far from perfect ourselves but we found it a bit rich that he said it was a pleasure to “leave free kicks and penalties” to the midfielder.

We very much doubt that Mario had too much of a say in that.
