PIC: Manchester United’s jersey for next season is inspired by their Newton Heath heritage

We're not sure about it

Parents of the world start saving.

The new jerseys for this year’s Premier League season have hardly seen the inside of a washing machine yet, and plans are now afoot for next season’s new strips for various teams.

Most Manchester United fans were very happy with the  first of the adidas designed kits that debuted earlier in the autumn.

And now it seems that for the second strip designed by the German manufacturer they are seeking some inspiration from the club’s origins, and specifically Newton Heath, who famously played in canary yellow and green.

And judging by these leaked pictures, adidas have sought a little bit of a two-tone colour distinction for the kit for the 2016/17 campaign.

The good folk at Footyheadlines have got what they say are the pics of the new jersey,

According to the blurb, the new kit

“comes with a modern collar in the same color as the shirt, while a yellow and red Newton Heath plaque-like graphic is displayed on the back of the neckline.”

So, what do you think?

It’s not a patch on this beauty surely from the 93/94 season and this brilliant picture
