The results around the bottom of the table didn’t go Villa’s way today and they are once again far from safe as teams refuse to go down out of the Premier League without a fight.
Leicester won a fourth game in succession, Hull grabbed an away win and Sunderland got a point to suck Sherwood’s men back into the battle. The West Midlands club now sit just two points above the drop zone.
They’re at the Etihad this evening to take on the champions in a clash that will give their chasers a game in hand so every point is crucial.
But Tim was caught by the Man City Twitter account watching Jeff Stelling ring in the 3pm results and, well, he didn’t look ecstatic anyway.
