It’s the last news Liverpool fans needed to hear after the club’s top four ambitions were dealt another with today’s home defeat by Crystal Palace.
Mamadou Sakho could be facing a spell on the sidelines after leaving today’s game with a knee injury.
The Frenchman has been the most consistent defender since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield but was forced off with the injury and left the ground on crutches.

The club will learn the extent of Sakho’s injury following a scan tomorrow, but Klopp told the media: “We don’t want to speculate, but we have to wait for scan. I’d rather lose 4-1 and keep him in the team.”
