Not so subtle

Kevin McGillicuddy

Jurgen Klopp is under a lot of expectation at Liverpool and he’s not even in the door a wet week.

The German oversaw a 0-0 draw with Tottenham on Saturday and now faces into his first European game with the Reds this Thursday in the Europa league.

Merseyside, and further afield, appears to be under the illusion that Klopp is some kind of miracle worker, and that may have stretched into the mind of the good men and women who design the programme cover for Anfield home games with an very creative effort for tomorrow’s action against Rubin Kazan.

They have come up with some lovely ones before mind:

But we think that Klopp-mania may have gotten the better of them for Thursday night’s version, which draws inspiration from that famous Barack Obama poster from his first election campaign back in 2008.

what

Back then Obama was seen as the man who could fix all problems and make America great once again.

So maybe the comparison with Klopp isn’t too far off the mark.
