Pic: Francesco Totti does touching gesture for fan severely injured in car crash

We didn't think it was possible, but Francesco Totti has actually gone up in our estimations.

Franceso Totti has restored our faith in fooballers with this heartwarming gesture. After finding out that a Roma fan had been badly injured in a car accident in Sweden, Totti decided that he needed to do something to show his support. The Roma captain sent the hospitalised a personal “get well soon” letter and enclosed a very special gift inside the envelope. https://twitter.com/matthew_barker/status/575963953022566400 Totti's letter reads:

Hi Alexander, How are you? I hope this finds you well. I heard about your accident and I’m very sorry about it but I’m sure everything will work out just fine. Sometimes life puts obstacles in our way but this is when we find out our true strength, the one we even ignore having. I’m sure it will be the same for you. This is when we find out the importance of our dear ones, when we can rely on these moments. Try to recover as quick as possible and keep on supporting us, because we need you behind us.
