Your country has just cemented a place in the knockout stages of the European Championships, beating a side renowned for its defensive solidity and the footballing dream was set to continue.
What do you do next?
Why, you update the goalscoring hero’s Wikipedia page. Duh!
Robbie Brady hung in the air, fearlessly putting his head in danger so that he could get that one vital goalward touch, and once the ball bounced over the line, some excitable Irish supporter got straight to updating.
The Wikipedia update, which has since been changed, claimed that the Norwich star was due to be made a Saint and that he was already being monitored by La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, with a better contract than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi expected.
Some people can get very carried away with themselves.
