It’s almost upon us.
Republic of Ireland will be kicking off their Euro 2016 campaign with a Group E encounter against Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden (yikes) on Monday and there’s already a jovial air in the nation’s capital.
After a successful qualifying campaign that saw us defeat the world champions, Republic of Ireland fans are getting psyched for their first major tournament since the last European Championships, which we apologise for bringing up and will try to never mention it ever again.
Even College Green is getting geared up for the competition. Passers-by may have noticed a slight change to the sign outside Bank of Ireland at the famous Dublin landmark on Friday ahead of the Euros.
