PIC: Creative Arsenal fan comes up with genius way of updating an old Fabregas jersey

Innovation at its finest

Darragh Murphy

There’s not enough discussion around the leap of faith taken by football fans when they get a player’s name etched on the back of their club’s jersey.

You run the very serious risk of a player lining out for your direct rival in the future, something that befell this poor Arsenal fan after he gave current Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas the honour of a place around his shoulders.

But when the Spaniard started lining out for the Blues, Reddit user Fibonacci_ didn’t let his head drop. Rather he released his inner creative genius to update the shirt.

The man who currently dons the 4 jersey previously worn by Fabregas is Per Mertesacker or, as he’s affectionately known, the Big F*king German.

With a spark of inspiration and some serious clawing at letters, what once was Fabregas now reads BFG.

Wrap it up internet, it doesn’t get much better than this.

BFG
