PIC: Cork City’s new away jersey is guaranteed to entice the country’s best footballers to Leeside

Red of course

Kevin McGillicuddy

If Cork City want to get the best players to Leeside then they have a weapon that no other side in the SSE Airtricity League will be able to compete with.

It’s not a huge chequebook, it’s not a year-round pass to Fota Wildlife park or even gold membership to the niteclub in Reardens.

Instead, any footballer in Ireland, or even Europe, should be damn proud to be able to tog out in the club’s new away kit for the 2015/16 season launched today.

Last year’s effort from Nike was a typically red effort for the men from Turner’s Cross.

Nike are still on board as the kit maker and we have to say they have done a mighty fine job with a now all red strip, with  white on the sleeves.
