PIC: Chris Coleman takes the piss out of England’s ‘tactical leak’ at Wales training

Top, top trolling from Chris Coleman.

Perhaps buoyed by the tactical insight into Group B opponents England provided by assistant manager Ray Lewington, Wales boss Chris Coleman was in playful mood at training this morning in Dinard.

Wales and England open their Euro 2016 campaigns against Slovakia and Russia respectively on Saturday, before facing off in Lens on Thursday June 16.

Lewington’s error will have provided Coleman with some vital insider information on the England team – like the plan to start the two most on-form strikers in Premier League (Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane) up front, with their sole defensive midfielder Eric Dier playing in the defensive midfield role.

He also learned that Liverpool everyman James Milner goes by the name Milly.

Anyway Coleman, who has to keep his players entertained, seeing as he decided they would all be flying solo, had the craic with photographers this morning – not so subtly holding up a “teamsheet”.

We are unsure of the goalkeeper in Coleman’s dream team, but it does feature Cafu, Franz Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore and Roberto Carlos in defence, a midfield of Zico, Socrates, Bobby Charlton and George Best, with Pele and Diego Maradona playing up front.

Not a bad side, you would agree. But not including star man Gareth Bale is a brave move.

At club level heads would roll if a Real Madrid manager even joked about not putting the former Tottenham man in his all-time dream XI.
