‘Down with this sort of thing’.
Was the general theme of a joint fan protest by a section of Liverpool and Arsenal fans earlier today. The two groups were protesting the rising cost of attending football games outside the Emirates Stadium, before the Premier League game between the two sides.
They also plan to miss the opening ten minutes in a further protest.
Arsenal’s Black Scarf Movement joined with the Spirit of Shankly and Spion Kop 1906 supporters’ groups to display this banner.

A spokesman for the Spion Kop group said:
‘On Saturday, we are planning to stay outside the ground and miss the first 10 minutes of the match in solidarity with those who can’t afford the extortionate price of £54 for 90 minutes of football.
‘The Black Scarf lads from Arsenal and Spirit of Shankly will be joining us for the first 10 minutes of the game.
‘We’d appreciate any support from either set of fans and would welcome people to join us at 12 o’clock on the roundabout outside The Armoury Store, Hornsey Road.
‘If you’re disgusted in the continuing rise of ticket prices then it’s time to stand up and make a change’
