Antonio Conte appeared to threaten to kill one of his players during Italy’s win over Belgium.
So we can’t say we’re surprised to learn that his training sessions are intense experiences. However, judging by his pre-Euro 2016 training sessions, Chelsea’s players are currently experiencing an extremely testing pre-season.
According to football journalist Miguel Delaney, before the Euros, Antonio Conte laid on this training session for his players:
- 100m flat-out sprint followed by 20-seconds rest, repeated for seven minutes.
- 75m flat-out sprint followed by 15-seconds rest, repeated for seven minutes.
- 50m flat-out sprint followed by 10-seconds rest, repeated for seven minutes.
If this was his training session after the end of a long season, imagine what Chelsea’s players are currently going through.
This was some of Conte's pre-Euros fitness work. Wonder how far a normal person could get into it before vomiting pic.twitter.com/zle0xQ5hoN

Maybe John Terry is reconsidering his decision to stay.
