Say what you will about Andros Townsend but at least he is a modest chap.
He hit a fairly decent goal tonight against the greatest goalkeeper of all time so he can maybe – very possibly, probably not, maybe – get away with boasting about it.
Paul Merson did not agree with his inclusion in the England squad and obviously the Spurs winger did not agree with Paul Merson’s thoughts on the matter.
So, straight from Turin, he took to Twitter to tell the world about that glorious time he rescued a draw for England in a friendly.
