Juan Mata doesn’t seem like the pitchfork wielding, maniac type to us.
But, due to the power of Photoshop, we now know how it’d look if the Manchester United midfielder ruthlessly cut down footballers during games.
Mata and some of his teammates starred in a clip promoting the United’s new home kit. Titled “Break Expectations”, United players wielded red pitchforks, in homage to the club’s Red Devil’s nickname, and smashed some glass.

The image of Mata yielding the weapon has sparked the creative juices amongst some fans, who’ve created some funny images.
There’s one of Mata hacking down Fernando Torres, which is unnecessary because the former Chelsea striker was unlikey to score anyway.
There’s one featuring Didier Drogba, another one-time Mata teammate.
No wonder Mata left Chelsea.
Some United fans would approve of this one.
Mata’s pitchfork wielding also isn’t confined to the football pitch.
And we’re guessing the person behind this isn’t a Liverpool fan.
