If Liverpool fans were worried about Philippe Coutinho eventually jumping ship for Barcelona, they might be that bit more concerned now.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the 2015 Champions League winners more times than we can recall, though he seems happy at Anfield for the time being.
There are still some, however, who will jump on any clue that he might be tempted by a move to Catalunya. Something like, oh, I don’t know, naming three Barcelona players as the best three footballers in the world.
Coutinho was asked by FourFourTwo to name the three he considers the best in the game.
And, rather than selecting Ballon d’Or favourite Cristiano Ronaldo, he opted for former teammate Luis Suárez and the Uruguayan’s club teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar.
“My top three players in the world are the MSN trio,” Coutinho says.
“Obviously there are others at Real Madrid too, like Cristiano Ronaldo, but those three complete each other.
“One is fast, the other is skilful, then there’s the top scorer, so they really complete each other.”
We don’t doubt the Brazilian would love to play in the same setup as the three greats, but Reds fans will hope it’s a goal that goes unfulfilled – for the near future at least.
