A big call from a big player
It’s impossible not to be impressed with Philippe Coutinho’s recent form for Liverpool.
The Brazilian has been majestic of late with many pundits suggesting that is he could just add goals to his game (he has just three all season) then he would be a truly world class player.
One person who has no doubt that the Liverpool’s playmaker will go on to dominate English football is his compatriot Neymar, who believes that Coutinho can have the same impact as Luis Suarez.
‘I think since Luis joined us at Barcelona, Liverpool have not had that one player they can look to for that special moment,’ Neymar said.
‘Couto can be that player for them I’m sure. When he has the ball at his feet, he can make things happen for himself and he can make things happen for other players. He is a very special player.’
Here’s some more from Neymar on Coutinho. On his current form it’s hard to disagree.
Neymar: "We have been good friends since we were 16. Not only is Coutinho a fantastic player, he's a good guy to have in the dressing room."
