Petr Cech’s glove manufacturers make a rookie mistake

With Chelsea making moves for the likes of Falcao, Pedro and Alexandre Pato in recent times, you could be forgiven for thinking it was still 2010.

At least, we imagine that’s the excuse Adidas will be using for their latest mishap, after a pair of gloves meant for former Blues goalkeeper Petr Čech were delivered to the club’s Cobham training ground.

Čech, of course, made the move across London to Arsenal over the summer. But it seems many still think of him as belonging to the club for whom he played more than 450 times between 2004 and 2015.

“The glove manufacturers obviously still think of Petr Cech as part of the furniture at Chelsea,” a source told the Daily Mirror.

Perhaps it was a deliberate mistake and Adidas were just trying to give the Czech international a proper test – with the league-leading Gunners suffering just one defeat in nine, he needs to stay focused.
