Pep Guardiola’s biggest summer signing from Bayern Munich may not be a player

Never mind Robert Lewandowski.

Pep Guardiola is preparing for his summer switch to Manchester City and the man he most wants to bring with him is not even one of the German superpower’s superstars.

Reports in Germany are suggesting the former Barca boss wants to bring one of Bayern Munich’s best men with him to the Etihad.

Guardiola is likely to be interested in a major revamp of the City squad, and German newspaper Bild are reporting that Michael Reschke is on his wish list too.

The German is a key talent scout at Bayern, and previously he was responsible for most of the key transfers at Bayer Leverkusen such as Arturo Vidal.

The technical director at Bayern is understood to be active in transfers and scouting for the German club, and helped complete the moves for Joshua Kimmich and Kingsley Coman last summer.

Guardiola and Reschke are close friends and the German could be a key ally for the ex-Barcelona boss in his opening season or two in the Premier League.

Reschke is no stranger to English football either, having been spotted at a recent Everton game, where he was rumoured to be checking out Romelu Lukaku.
