The Bayern Munich boss has turned down a huge amount of money to stay at the Bundesliga giants, according to several reports.
Pep Guardiola put clubs on alert after announcing that he’ll make a public address next week regarding his future at Bayern Munich.
Several publications, including Spanish daily Marca and the Daily Mail, are reporting that Guardiola has made up his mind to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season. The Daily Mail claim that Carlo Ancelotti is in advanced talks to replace him at the Allianz Arena.
They add that the former Barcelona man has turned down an offer of €20m per year to stay at the German behemoths.
This is good news for Premier League sides such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea who have all been linked with the manager. However, Marca say former Barcelona men Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain’s presence at the Etihad Stadium offers an easy “bridge” for Pep to make the switch to the Premier League.
