An insight into what makes Pep Guardiola special.
Other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, most players who worked under Pep Gaurdiola have nothing but good things to say about the Catalan.
The Bayern Munich manager has a proven track record of being able to elevate players’ games to another level, and is notably passionate and intense.
Gaurdiola displayed such qualities in bundles on Saturday evening, following Bayern’s goalless draw away to title rivals Borussia Dortmund, when speaking to Joshua Kimmich.
The 21 year old central defender has been drafted into the starting XI following injuries to key players, and proceeded to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, quiet.
Following the game, Guardiola engaged in an intense pep talk (sorry) with the young defender.
He seems angry at times during the talk, but the former Barcelona manager told the German press: “I love this kid. He has absolutely everything. He wants to learn, has passion. Kimmich can do whatever he wants.”
