Arron Scholes certainly won't be a part of United's recruitment revamp

If Paul Scholes ends up completing that rumoured return to Manchester United, he won’t thank his son for his recent social media activity.

Scholes is one of many former United players linked with a role in the upcoming restructure of how the club operates, with the legendary United midfielder rumoured to be in the running to take up a position which will assist in the decision-making process at board level.

With a revamp to the recruitment strategy at Old Trafford said to be a priority, Scholes might want to have a word with his son, Arron, who has encouraged one of the club’s summer targets to snub any offers from the Red Devils.

Arron Scholes urged Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, one of the most sought-after prospects in world football, to pick Barcelona over United if given the choice.

“As much as I’d love to see De Ligt at United, I wouldn’t even wish that on him,” Arron tweeted. “Go to Barca and enjoy your career mate because we’re wank and have a team full of bell ends.”

According to reports in Spain, Barcelona remain favourites to sign De Ligt but the Ajax captain’s agent, Mino Raiola, would prefer to see his client move to Old Trafford.
