This shouldn’t even be reported.
We should’ve made a promise, never again. We should make a pact not to give him the oxygen.
His outrageous claims about David De Gea against West Ham last weekend should’ve been the last we saw of him – in a punditry capacity at least.
This is surely the moment (the very, very last moment) that Paul Scholes' punditry stops being referenced anywhere pic.twitter.com/uqMfriZhUm

And yet here we are. Five days later. A lower low. Paul Scholes, still, top of the agenda.
It seems that the former Manchester United midfielder is running out of things to whine about – incredibly, even in this season of all seasons.
The manager, the tactics, the signings, the lack of signings, the tweeting and the best goalkeeper in the world – none of them are safe from Scholesey’s clutches. And if you thought that his claims about Martial being a second or third choice striker were bizarre, well he had a solution.
Danny bloody Welbeck.
“He would walk into this team, without a shadow of a doubt and he’s just been allowed to go,” Scholes said of Welbeck on BT Sport.
“You’re scratching your head. He should have never, ever been allowed to leave this club.
“He’s a big example of what Manchester United are. He was here from nine years of age and came right through to the first team. He’s quick, he’s strong, can score a goal, can make a goal, can play left wing, can play right wing.
“Whether that’s come from the manager or beyond I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure it probably did come from the manager. It should never ever have been allowed to happen.”
If Anthony Martial is a second or third choice striker, what the hell is Danny Welbeck?
