Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes pulled no punches.
Manchester United are a club with proud traditions. They want to win everything, all the time, while bringing youth players through, and playing scintillating football. Basically, they’ve been spoilt by the Sir Alex Ferguson era. But still, by anyone’s standards, Jose Mourinho is not doing a good job, especially when you consider the amount of money he has spent (read: wasted) on players.
Speaking on BT Sport tonight, Paul Scholes launched a scathing attack on Mourinho, claiming he is “embarrassing the club”.
Scholes said he was surprised Mourinho was not sacked after United’s defeat to West Ham at the weekend.
“He’s coming out in press conferences, he’s constantly having a go at players, he’s having a go at people above him because he’s not getting what he wants. I think his mouth is out of control and he’s embarrassing the club.”
