He’ll put the fear of god into strikers in England
Not too many Irish players have featured on the yellow ticker of Sky’s Transfer Deadline Day coverage so far, but one name did catch our attention earlier.
Oldham have announced that they have taken a young Irish defender by the name of Eoghan O’Connell on loan from the SPL side.

The 20-year-old has played one game already this season for Celtic and has made six appearances in total for the Hoops.
The defender is a former Academy Player of the Year at Celtic, and the Cork native is also known more widely for being a first cousin of Ireland rugby captain Paul O’Connell.
