He went down like a sack of potatoes.
Patrick Bamford has been hammered by Aston Villa fans and neutrals nationwide for the theatrical manner in which he fell to the ground amid the chaos at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon, getting Anwar El Ghazi sent off in the process.
Anwar El Ghazi will now be suspended for the upcoming play-off fixtures that Villa are set to play in, despite not giving more than a flick to Bamford, who had his arms around the Villa midfielder.
Unsurprisingly, Bamford has been taking pelters on social media from all angles, with many calling him a disgrace to the sport and the club.
.@Patrick_Bamford you don’t deserve to be a footballer behaving like that, disgrace to yourself and club. Should be ashamed #avfc pic.twitter.com/YdCjIZo5tT

Some have even said Bamford should be sanctioned for cheating. As unlikely as that may be, El Ghazi’s red card could well be overturned.
NO WAY can El Ghazi get suspended by the @EFL for doing nothing. Patrick Bamford should get a suspension for CHEATING. #AVFC #LUFC
