Look, we get that the Champions League knockout stages are a big deal, but is there any need for this?
Aside from billing the first leg of their tie with Chelsea as ‘The New Classic’, and going to war with Chelsea’s social media account, Paris Saint Germain’s Twitter feed has been treating its followers to a series of bizarre tweets.
Each tweet features a picture of a different PSG player, and is accompanied by a sentence detailing the different qualities that make up a legend… it’s all a little bit too serious.
First of all there was this one…

(What does that even mean?)
Then, came a furious David Luiz…

This one made some kind of sense though…

Next, there was an emotional Thiago Silva…

And after exhausting most of the PSG squad, even poor Gianni Infantino was roped into it.

Clearly, they’ve been waiting for this one for a while over in the French capital.
It’s almost as if PSG are winning their domestic league at a canter and are desperately craving some form of big game..
