Odds for Leicester to advance through each Champions League round are crazily short

Not much value to win the Premier League AND Champions League either ???

Conan Doherty

It’s still Leicester!

League champions or not, this is a side who were a few games away from playing this season in the Championship.

Now though, they’re being backed to advance from their Champions League group and maybe go even further again.

Having qualified for the European tournament last week, Claudio Ranieri and his side have already exceeded la-la land expectations and the football world took great pleasure in celebrating their success.

However, on the cusp of winning the Premier League trophy, the bookies aren’t about to make the same mistakes again and the midlands outfit are priced fairly short to have a bit of relative success in Europe’s premier competition.

Ladbrokes have released their odds for how Leicester might do in the 2016/17 season and it’s easy to see that the players are going to have to get use to the pressure of a favourites tag once in a while now.

Leicester in the Champions League

To make the knockout stages – 5/4
To make the quarter-finals – 6/1
To make the semi-finals – 25/1
To reach the final – 50/1
To win the Champions League 2016/17 – 80/1

Jamie Vardy to be top Champions League goalscorer – 33/1

Leicester City v West Ham United - Premier League

The bookies aren’t going to be caught out next season like a lot of them were last year when some punters went for Leicester to win the league at 5,000/1.

If you want to back them to win the league AND the Champions League in the upcoming campaign? You’ll get them 10 times shorter than last season’s price to just win the league.
