Noel Gallagher is a fan of ‘The Brodge’.
The musician was on Match of the Day 2 last night and the reaction wasn’t kind. Many questioned Gallagher’s skills as a football pundit, feeling the singer should probably stick to his day job.
Gallagher’s most telling contribution was his nickname for Brendan Rodgers. The former Oasis guitarist repeatedly referred to the Liverpool manager as ‘The Brodge’… That’s right, ‘The Brodge’.
You see his name is Brendan Rodgers, so Gallagher has smashed the two words together to create ‘Brodge’, seemingly adding ‘The’ for effect. Because who has the time to be referring to people by their full name these days?
Manchester City fan Gallagher said: ‘We [City fans] thought the powers of The Brodge were waining, but he’s turning it around’.
Brendan Rodgers’ thoughts on his new nickname are, as yet, unknown. But he may have to get used to it.
So from what I've seen on my timeline, one of the Gallaghers were on MOTD last night and coined the name "The Brodge" for Brendan? Jeez

Bet Rodgers isn't happy to be hailed as 'a David Brent character' by Match of the Day host.
Noel Gallagher's BRODGE tag may catch on #LFC
