Years from now, your kids and grandkids will ask you what you were doing on the night of February 13, 2017.
For your sake, we hope you’ll be able to look them in the eye and tell them that you were sitting in front of your telly watching Manchester City’s match at Bournemouth.
This was the night that City’s Brazilian midfielder and makeshift right back Fernandinho took a throw-in – a throw-in that really, really impressed Sky Sports co-commentator, and SportsJOE columnist, Niall Quinn.
In fact, the former Manchester City forward even went as far as saying: “That’s one of the best throw-ins I have seen in the Premier League this season.”
Magnificent. There are tens of throw-insurance every game, thousands per season, and how often are they analysed?
Quinny is fixing that.
Those watching with access to a Twitter account were understandably impressed (with Quinn’s commentary more than the actual throw-in).

That was the best throw in Niall Quinn has seen all season.

Although it’s a couple of months before any end of season awards are dished out, we can safely say that we know where the Premier League Throw-In Of The Season Award is going. Especially if Niall Quinn’s on the judging panel.
Who gets your vote for throw-in of the season? Can anyone stop Fernandinho? Let us know in the comments or by dropping us a tweet.
