Two Irish international legends made appearances during Stephanie Roche’s interview with Ryan Tubridy tonight
It wasn’t long into the interview before Tubs brought up the photo in which Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to be checking the footballer out. Roche admitted she found the photo amusing.
There might have been something on the ground that caught their eye.
My friends texted me after the awards and said ‘don’t be too disappointed because you had two of the best footballers in the world eyeing you up’. That is something to take from it. I got their attention a little bit maybe.
After a bog-standard interview from the RTE stalwart, they rolled video tributes to Roche made by a pair of Irish soccer legends. Ireland captain Robbie Keane and foremer Irish international striker Niall Quinn showered the nation’s first Puskas Award finalist with praise in their respective clips.
However, the good people of Twitter honed in on something unusual about the way Quinn was sitting.
