PSG forward Neymar could be set for a return to Barcelona next season after leaving the Catalan club for Paris last year.
The Brazilian forward moved to the French capital last year after PSG triggered the €222 million release clause in his Barcelona contract.
Earlier this year Neymar demanded that the second part of the renewal bonus on Barcelona contract, believed to be worth around €30 million, be paid to him.
Barcelona officials reportedly refused to pay him believing that he violated the clause with his move to PSG, and while the renewal bonus seemingly remains a sticking point between player and club, Barcelona are now looking at the possibility of luring the 26-year-old back to the Nou Camp.
Neymar's entourage contacted Barcelona in hope of a return in 2019. The initial reaction from the club was negative because of the legal battle to pay his renewal bonuses, his return is now under consideration. I'm as displeased by this as I can possibly be, financially it should be an impossible operation right now, but much like Griezmann last summer, Barça might take the risk.

Meanwhile Barcelona-based broadcaster Betevé, André Cury, a negotiator for Barcelona and a close confidant of Neymar and his family, reportedly met with Neymar’s father Neymar Sr. in London last week to discuss the possibility of a return to the club.
Neymar will face Liverpool in the Champions League this week and Reds goalkeeper and compatriot Alisson Becker believes that his side will be well prepared for the threat of the world’s most expensive player.
“They have Neymar against our defenders but we have also a great defence so it’ll be a great match for everybody to see,” he told London Evening Standard.
“I’m expecting to have a great match in this game too.”
