Daniel Sturridge will wait for his next Premier League start, as Jurgen Klopp has left the England striker on the bench for the trip to Newcastle.
Liverpool have made two changes from the 1-0 win over Swansea, with Joe Allen and Lucas stepping into midfield in the absence of Adam Lallana and Emre Can.
More than half the side who started against Southampton midweek make way, with Sturridge joined on the bench by hat-trick hero Divock Origi.
Newcastle, who lost 5-1 at Crystal Palace last time out, have dropped Ayoze Perez and given Siem de Jong a rare start in support of Papiss Cisse.
Perez, who scored the only goal of the game the last time the teams met, is on the bench alongisde fellow striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
