Hornets fans will be delighted if this ends up being accurate.
It’s leaked football shirt season and that means one thing and one thing only: leaked football shirts. I mean, what else would it have been? Look at the name of the season, for goodness sake.
Some people aren’t too keen about leaked football shirt season and even go to as far as to leak those specific words on social media to ensure that their eyes are not sullied with the sight of computer-generated images of football shirts which may or may not exist.
Some people though – normal people – love leaked football shirt season, because it gives us a glimpse of the future.
It brings us back to when we were kids and we’d see the new jerseys for the first time in catalogues, football magazines or – if we were lucky – on the players themselves in the final matches of the season.
We’ve already seen plenty of leaked shirts this year but Monday’s addition might just take the biscuit. It’s the new Watford shirt and it is quite simply beautiful.
Featuring a half-and-half design, with black on one side and yellow on the other, the Hornets’ purported new shirt is a million miles nicer than this season’s which, while featuring a decent striped design, loses marks for the weird yellow outline around the bizarrely chosen black Adidas logo.
The new shirt chooses a red Adidas logo on the black half of the shirt, which is much more pleasant on the eye.
The future looks bright for the Hornets currently under manager Javi Gracia and if this new shirt is accurate, they’ll be looking damn good too.
