The new Predator-inspired adidas boots look gorgeous

Wunderbar!

Paul Moore

An update on the classic Predator boot. You might be buying these.

If you’ve ever played underage football then you’ll know the dreaded rule that some managers can impose on their players. Show up with clean boots or else you’re not going to start.

Managers will argue that this rule was a way of focusing the minds of their players on the game at hand, but if you were good enough* to wear white boots, you’ll know that this was practically an impossibility. Aside from having muck absolutely caked on your white Predators, you also were constantly in fear of being left out.

Yes, you’ve cleaned them but they still look dirty.

Cruel world.

Anyway, we have some good news for anyone that loved the classic white/cream/champagne Predator boots that looked bloody gorgeous, but were impossible to keep clean.

Footy Headlines have obtained leaked images of the new Adidas Copa 17 Champagne football boots and they’re gorgeous.

Inspired by the famous Predator Mania – the boots that came out in 2002 ahead of the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, and were worn by the likes of Beckham and Zidane-  the Adidas Copa 17 Champagne boots are mainly off-white with black Adidas stripes on the outstep.

The laces are black while the tongue and studs are red.

The boots take design inspiration from the Adidas Copa Mundial because the Adidas Copa 17 Champagne boots have a partial kangaroo-leather upper and a compression tongue.

The boots will be released in in early May and are expected to cost around £150.

Yeah, but can you keep these bad boys clean?

*FYI, only ridiculously talented players are allowed to wear white boots. So if you’re the Pirlo of your team, go nuts and buy 17 pairs.
