One win in the last 12 meant the axe had to fall

We have waited a long time for the first sacking of the 2014-15 Premier League season but we finally have it. Neil Warnock, who took over at Crystal Palace after Tony Pulis left just before the season started, has been dismissed this morning according to reports.

Warnock’s side started the season well but just one win since the end of September has left Palace in the bottom three, level on points with Burnley and one point from safety.

Palace play fellow strugglers QPR tomorrow.

UPDATE: 12.08pm:

Crystal Palace have released a short statement confirming Warnock’s departure

Crystal Palace Football Club can today confirm that Neil Warnock has been relieved of his duties and is no longer first-team manager.
The club would like to put on record its thanks to Neil for all his hard work and energy over the past four months.
Keith Millen will lead the team against Queens Park Rangers tomorrow as caretaker manager.
