Multiple Manchester United players reach out to mystic fan after PSG win

Jack O'Toole

Manchester United defenders Victor Lindelof and Ashley Young both reached out to fan Timmy Chin following the club’s 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

United turned around a two goal deficit to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals and progress on away goals and fan Timmy Chin predicted the exact result, even down to Marcus Rashford burying the winner.

United progressed to the last eight thanks to a penalty from Marcus Rashford but injured PSG forward Neymar fumed at the decision which ultimately cost his side their place in this season’s competition.

The penalty, which was given after a lengthy VAR review of a contentious Presnel Kimpembe handball in the box, was converted by Rashford in stoppage time to hand United a third away goal on the night and send the Premier League side through to the quarter-finals.

Neymar watched the majority of the game from the stands but ventured down to the sidelines in the final moments and he has torn into referee Damir Skomina and his assistants for the penalty decision.

“This is a disgrace,” Neymar wrote on an Instagram story, as translated by Sky Sports. “They put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR.

“There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back! Go fuck yourselves!”
