The Egyptian King will be heading to Russia
Panic ensued in Egypt on Saturday night as a teary-eyed Mo Salah walked off the pitch in Kiev, clutching his shoulder, following a clash with Sergio Ramos. His Champions League final had been cut short and it seemed as if his chances of going to the World Cup were all but dead.
Salah led Egypt to their first World Cup since Italia 90′ in the last qualifying campaign and faced a race against time to get fit before the tournament starts on June 14th.
But fear not, Egypt (and Liverpool) fans, I bear good news. The Egyptian national team have announced that their talisman will be going to the World Cup, having shown quick progress in his recovery from the shoulder injury.
Egypt have announced Mo Salah will be fit to play at the 2018 World Cup.
