Recent events have seen Salah linked with a move away
Mohamed Salah is set to stay at Liverpool beyond the end of this season.
Salah is reaching the final 12 months of his contract and speculation has suggested he may leave.
Saudi Arabia has been touted as a viable destination for the Egyptian however the 31-year-old has shown no desire to leave, nor do Liverpool plan on selling him, as revealed by The Athletic.
Should they fail in their pursuit of the winger this summer, they may wait until 2025 when Salah will be available on a free as they look to find another big name to add to their ranks.
Salah’s future to be monitored
Talk of Salah’s future intensified following the spat between himself and Jurgen Klopp during the 2-2 draw against West Ham.
The pair appeared to have a verbal exchange on the sidelines just before Salah came on and the winger even rejected the offer of a handshake from his boss at full time.
Klopp declared the matter had been dealt with while Salah said “there will be fire” if he spoke after the game.
Arne Slot’s impending arrival is also leaving question marks over Salah’s future.
Liverpool will also have to tie down Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold too as the Reds prepare for a major rebuild once Klopp leaves.
